Set on 28 acres of sprawling bushland in the heart of Mount White, Saddles is a gourmet eatery, bakehouse and nursery just an hour north of Sydney. Our philosophy celebrates all that is Australiana – the wild yet beautiful landscape, the magical flora and fauna that surrounds the homestead and dam, and the unique wildlife that calls Saddles home.

 

The name, ‘Saddles’ takes inspiration from artisan saddler, Heath Harris, one of Australia’s most renowned horse trainers and masters of saddlery. Harris regularly crafts saddles for John Singleton’s nearby Strawberry Hills Stud and personally designed the famed saddle chairs at our brass-scalloped bar IN OUR DINING ROOM.

 

We’re proud to work with an array of local artisan producers and have access to some of the tastiest meats, locally caught seafood, hand-picked fruits and vegetables, award-winning cheeses and the best Australian wine, beer and spirit producers in the country.

 

Menu highlights include our house-made charcuterie, savoury pastries, seasonal salads and roast Little Hill farm chicken. Desserts include our lavender cheesecake, fluffy meringues, tasty tarts and our twist on the humble Lamington.
